Join us! for the 2016 AmblesideOnline Conference at the beautiful Lakeview Camp and Retreat Center in Waxahachie, TX (approx. 30 - 45 minutes outside of Dallas/Fort Worth). Lakeview is situated on 330 acres of beautiful natural landscape with a breathtaking 30 acre lake as a backdrop in a setting that inspires awe in the greatness of God.

We enjoyed our 'practice' retreat in Indiana last year, and are very excited about our upcoming 'Deep in the Heart of AO' conference in Texas. But we also realize with dismay that we simply do not have the time to plan conferences AND work on curriculum projects that need our attention. At the end of the day, we're a free curriculum, not a conference, and we are volunteers with limited time. This means that there is not likely to be another AO conference for several years. If you're thinking "next year"--you don't want to think that. If you want to be a part of an AO conference, take advantage of the opportunity this year if you possibly can.

Deep in the Heart of AO is a uniquely AmblesideOnline event focusing specifically on Charlotte Mason's ideas and methods and implementing them successfully with the AO curriculum. The conference will feature Advisory and Auxiliary board members as well as AO contributors presenting a walkthrough of each AO year and discussing homeschooling, parenting, self-educating, habit training, special needs, large family dynamics, scheduling, homeschooling through hard times, language arts, the history behind AO, how to prepare a lesson plan, and more! Ask your most pressing questions in our Q&A session and see examples of nature study journals and commonplace books. Come and meet new and old friends and be encouraged and refreshed Deep in the Heart of AO!
